Volunteer Work and Its Relationship with the Academic Quality of Life Among Students of Jouf University

Abstract: This study aims to determine the degree to which students at Jouf University engage in volunteer work and their level of academic quality of life from their own perspective, as well as to identify the nature of the relationship between the degree of volunteering and the level of academic quality of life. We adopted a descriptive correlational approach to study the relationship between Volunteer Work and Academic Quality of Life among a random sample of 257 students at Jouf University. The overall degree of volunteering was moderate (mean = 3.31), with the highest dimension being informal volunteer work, followed by university volunteer work, then community volunteer work. Likewise, it was discovered that the academic quality of life was generally high (3.42) across all of its dimensions, with the exception of the personal skills dimension, which had a moderate level. The results revealed a statistically significant positive direct correlation between volunteering in all its dimensions and the level of academic quality of life in its various dimensions, with an overall correlation coefficient of (0.925).
