The paper presents the intelligent design of the composite caisson structural strength. Intelligent design is based on the finite element method. The task of optimization used the objective function of minimum mass and setting some constraints including no types of buckling al-lowed. In optimization, the parameter is the thickness of the element, which changes in the process of minimizing the objective function for elements made of PCM by an amount equal to the thickness of the package. The results show the strength margins of spar webs and rib webs of the caisson of vertical empennage torsion box satisfy the safety factor design.
<publication_date media_type="online"><month>3</month><day>13</day><year>2023</year></publication_date><publication_date media_type="print"><month>3</month><day>13</day><year>2023</year></publication_date><pages><first_page>25</first_page><last_page>30</last_page></pages><publisher_item><item_number item_number_type="article_number">4</item_number></publisher_item><ai:program xmlns:ai="http://www.crossref.org/AccessIndicators.xsd" name="AccessIndicators"><ai:free_to_read start_date="2023-03-13"/><ai:license_ref applies_to="am" start_date="2023-03-13">https://npublications.com/journals/mechanics/2023/a082003-004(2023).pdf</ai:license_ref></ai:program><archive_locations><archive name="Portico"/></archive_locations><doi_data><doi>10.46300/9104.2023.17.4</doi><resource>https://npublications.com/journals/mechanics/2023/a082003-004(2023).pdf</resource></doi_data><citation_list><citation key="ref0"><unstructured_citation>A.
